The Abomination of Desolation in Progress

Daniel 11 describe the battles between the King of the North and the King of the South. These two kingdoms somehow relate to the four beasts of Daniel 7 and the little horn of Daniel 7 and 8, because the same activities that we have already seen in Daniel 7 and 8 are again explained in greater detail. Only this time, we see the picture from the prospect of the Northern and Southern Kingdom.

Daniel 11:29-39 describes the terrible things that the little horn does except that now we see that it is the Northern King that is doing these things.

There seems to be an endless series of wars described in Daniel 11. We almost seem to get lost in the description until we reach Daniel 12. Suddenly we have Michael Standing up and all things are coming to an end.

We now know where to put the long series of wars and actions of the various parties. The whole vision ends at the end of time so it seems reasonable to assume that Daniel 11 concerns itself with the secular events of the time of trouble that directly cause Michael to stand up. It is the abomination of desolation committed by Satan.
