The History of Christ's Existence
A Biblical History of the Son of God

What does the Bible say about Christ's divinity, His divine nature? Is He the only begotten Son of God? Or is He part of the trinity? Some say that Jesus is created and not divine! Let's go to the Bible for answers to these questions.

Jesus is Begotten by God the Father. Jesus has a more Excellent Name through Inheritance!

All throughout the Bible we read that there is one God:

  1. "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one! Deuteronomy 6:4

The Lord our God is one and He is above all!

  1. one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. Ephesians 4:6

God Himself has no beginning.

  1. . . . He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords,
  2. who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen. 1 Timothy 6:15-16

God also has had an only begotten Son:

  1. Who has ascended into heaven, or descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son's name, If you know? Proverbs 30:4

Some believe Jesus is the Son because He was born on earth. But He was God's Son even before He came to our world:

  1. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
  2. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
  3. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:16-18

God gave his only begotten Son to us. So, He had to have a Son initially so He could give Him to us. Verse 17 tells us that God sent his Son into the world. So, God had to have a Son to send into the world! Now, in verse 18, we find that those who do not believe in the name of the only begotten Son of God are condemned already. These are powerful verses!

Jesus was brought forth from the Father.

  1. "The LORD possessed me at the beginning of His way, Before His works of old.
  2. I have been established from everlasting, From the beginning, before there was ever an earth.
  3. When there were no depths I was brought forth, When there were no fountains abounding with water.
  4. Before the mountains were settled, Before the hills, I was brought forth; Proverbs 8:22-25

God Himself has no beginning but Jesus does have a beginning. At some time before anything was created, Jesus was born. He is the only begotten Son of God.

  1. . . . All things were created through Him and for Him.
  2. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. Colossians 1:16-17.

Jesus existed before all created things.

  1. "In that day you will ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I shall pray the Father for you;
  2. "for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came forth from God.
  3. "I came forth from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world and go to the Father." John 16:26-28

Jesus was begotten from the Father because He came forth from the Father! Then He was also sent into the world.

  1. "Now they have known that all things which You have given Me are from You.
  2. "For I have given to them the words which You have given Me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came forth from You; and they have believed that You sent Me. John 17:7-8

When Jesus was praying to His Father, He mentioned that His followers knew that He came forth from His Father and that He had sent Him as well.

  1. Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me.
  2. "Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. John 8:42-43

Jesus said He was telling the truth when He said He preceeded forth and came from God. Jesus was speaking so plainly, but they were not able to listen.

The plainest statement that speaks of Jesus' inheritance is found in Hebrews:

  1. having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
  2. For to which of the angels did He ever say: "You are My Son, Today I have begotten You"? And again: "I will be to Him a Father, And He shall be to Me a Son"?
  3. But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says: "Let all the angels of God worship Him." Hebrews 1:4-6

So, He is God's Son. He is not a created being, but rather, He is the actual Son of God with inheritance! So naturally, Jesus has a more excellent name than the angels and it comes to Him by Divine inheritance.

This inheritance is even a visible attribute of the Son of God. He is virtually identical to God His Father. Everything about Him speaks of His inheritance as coming from the Father!

  1. has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;
  2. who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, Hebrews 1:2-3

The inheritance is striking: Jesus is the brightness of His Father's glory, the express image of His Father's person, and the word of His Father's power. He has been appointed heir of all things and after He purged our sins, He sat down at the right hand of His Father on high.

  1. He [Jesus] is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. Colossians 1:15

Yes, Jesus is the image of the invisible God, His Father! In Genesis, Moses speaks of both the Father and Son as having the same image:

  1. Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." Genesis 1:26

It is Jesus who possess the name of God because He is the only begotten Son of God! He has acquired God's name by inheritance.

In Exodus we find that an Angel actually has God's name in Him.

  1. Behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.
  2. Beware of Him and obey His voice; do not provoke Him, for He will not pardon your transgressions; for My name is in Him. Exodus 23:20-21

So, this Angel has God's name. He has the name of Jehovah or Yahweh (YHWH) because God's name is in Him. How could He obtain God's name?

Now Paul just comes out with it and tells us that this Angel is Jesus!

  1. Moreover, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers were under the cloud, all passed through the sea,
  2. all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea,
  3. all ate the same spiritual food,
  4. and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ. 1 Corinthians 10:1-4.

Christ obtained that name long before He became that Child in Bethlemen.

  1. "I have come in My Father's name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive. John 5:43.

When Jesus was on earth, He specifically said that He came in His Father's name.

Jesus has a Divine Nature

  1. Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.
  2. For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; Colossians 2:8-9.
  1. For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, Colossians 1:19
  1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1.
  1. "And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was. John 17:5.
  1. has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;
  2. who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, Hebrews 1:2-3
  1. But Jesus answered them, "My Father has been working until now, and I have been working."
  2. Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God. John 5:17-18.
  1. Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,
  2. who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, Philippians 2:5-6

Through Jesus all things were created

In Proverbs we find special mention of God's Son.

  1. Who has ascended into heaven, or descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son's name, If you know? Proverbs 30:4

Who is it that has made the earth? And who is it that has gone into heaven and come back. He has the wind in His fists and waters in a garment. God has done all these things. It is God who has created all things.

Now who is His Son? Yes mention of God's Son is here in the book of Proverbs. What part did the Son play in the creation of all things.

  1. All things were made through Him [Jesus], and without Him nothing was made that was made. John 1:3
  1. God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets,
  2. has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; Hebrews 1:1-2.
  1. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. Hebrews 11:3

God has appointed His Son as heir of all things and His Son, whom God made the worlds, has also spoken to the prophets in the past.

  1. By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth. Psalm 33:6
  1. For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, 2 Peter 3:5
  1. and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ; Ephesians 3:9
  1. Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." Genesis 1:26

So, God created all things through His Son. The Son of God must have existed before all things were made as described in the above texts of Scripture.

  1. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
  2. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.
  3. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. Colossians 1:15-17. NKJV

Here, we find that God not only has made the worlds through His Son, but He actually created them for His Son. All things were created through Him and for Him!

In Colossians 1, we find that the Son of God existed before all things that were created. He is before all things and in Him all things consist. So, Jesus is the firstborn. The one that is over all creation.

In Micah, we see that the Son of God has an origin, a beginning.

  1. "But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times." Micah 5:2 NIV

Here is a prophecy that says: Out of Judah will come a special ruler over Israel. It speaks of Jesus as having an origin that comes from of old, from ancient times.

There is a very interesting interchange between God and Wisdom that we must look at.

  1. "I, wisdom, dwell with prudence, And find out knowledge and discretion. Proverbs 8:12

Who is Wisdom? Wisdom is now mostly thought to be some goddess of wisdom. But many in the past saw that Wisdom is really Jesus. In the New Testament, we can very easily identify Wisdom as being Jesus.

  1. but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.
  1. But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God--and righteousness and sanctification and redemption-- 1 Corinthians 1:24,30.

As we start reading this sections, we can see very quickly that it is indeed Jesus that is described. He is the one who helped create all things and Proverbs 8:30 especially show a very close team effort.

  1. "The LORD possessed me at the beginning of His way, Before His works of old.
  2. I have been established from everlasting, From the beginning, before there was ever an earth.
  3. When there were no depths I was brought forth, When there were no fountains abounding with water.
  4. Before the mountains were settled, Before the hills, I was brought forth;
  5. While as yet He had not made the earth or the fields, Or the primeval dust of the world.
  6. When He prepared the heavens, I was there, When He drew a circle on the face of the deep,
  7. When He established the clouds above, When He strengthened the fountains of the deep,
  8. When He assigned to the sea its limit, So that the waters would not transgress His command, When He marked out the foundations of the earth,
  9. Then I was beside Him as a master craftsman; And I was daily His delight, Rejoicing always before Him, Proverbs 8:22-30

In Ephesians, we see that this team effort is called the fellowship of the mystery. It is something that is hidden in God the way all things were created. All we have is the description in Proverbs above.

  1. and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ; Ephesians 3:9

The Plan to have Jesus die for our Sins was made before the Creation of the World.

God has planned things since the time that our world was made. These things have been kept secret. Even when Jesus talked to the masses, He still kept things secret by talking in parables.

  1. So was fulfilled what was spoken through the prophet: "I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter things hidden [kept secret] since the creation of the world." Matthew 13:35

However, Christ's disciples started asking Him what He was talking about. It is here that Jesus started talking very clearly. He spoke about how people would be saved and others lost at the end of the world.

The plan to save us from total destruction was made even before God created our world!

  1. For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers,
  2. but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.
  3. He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. 1 Peter 1:18-20

Jesus was chosen to die for our sins since He created the world.

  1. All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast--all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world. Revelation 13:8

The Father loved His Son even before the creation of the world.

  1. "Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world. John 17:24

Jesus is asking that the righteous, who His Father has given Him, that they can see His glory that He had before.

And we will be able to take our inheritance that has been prepared for us since the creation of the world!

  1. "Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. Matthew 25:35

So, at the time of creation, The Father had already determined to give us His Son that we might be saved.

  1. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him. Psalms 2:12

Kiss the Son is Hebrew for reverance or honor. So blessed are all those who put their trust in the Son of God.

The Son of God Becomes the Son of Man!

In John 3:16, my favorite verse of the Bible; Jesus describes how much God loves us, who are doomed for destruction. God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son!

  1. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
  2. "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
  3. "He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:16-18

It is clear by the text that God had a Son beforehand and that He actually sent His only begotten Son into the world. It is only when you have something to give that it takes love. Not when Jesus only becomes a Son after He comes!

  1. But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, Galatians 4:4
  1. For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

Unto us a Child is born, Jesus was born unto us. But also, we can see that a Son was given unto us. God gave us His Son! In addition to being called Wonderful, Jesus is called other names as well, such as Mighty God and Everlasting Father. He has the name of God!

The Hebrew word for "Wonderful" in isaiah 9:6 (Strong index number is 6382) means incomprehensible, beyond our understanding, wonderful. So His name is incomprehensible, beyond our understanding. He has a more excellent name because He has the name of God in Him.

The Son of God Dies for Our Sins!

  1. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
  2. Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
  3. But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
  4. And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Philippians 2:5-8
  1. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
  2. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.
  3. For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.
  4. And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation. Romans 5:8-11
  1. 'For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.' Leviticus 17:11
  1. "Behold, all souls are Mine; The soul of the father As well as the soul of the son is Mine; The soul who sins shall die. Ezekiel 18:4
  1. For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh,
  2. how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
  3. And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. Hebrews 9:13-15

The Son of God Is Raised up by His Father

  1. For they themselves declare concerning us what manner of entry we had to you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God,
  2. and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come. 1 Thessalonians 1:9-10
  1. But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: "We ought to obey God rather than men.
  2. "The God of our fathers raised up Jesus whom you murdered by hanging on a tree.
  3. "Him God has exalted to His right hand to be Prince and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.
  4. "And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him." Acts 5:29-32
  1. "Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, He would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne,
  2. "he, foreseeing this, spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that His soul was not left in Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption.
  3. "This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses. Acts 2:32.
  1. "The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let Him go.
  2. "But you denied the Holy One and the Just, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you,
  3. "and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses. Acts 3:13-15
  1. Now it was not written for his sake alone that it was imputed to him,
  2. but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead,
  3. who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification. Romans 3:23-25
  1. that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raise Him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
  1. and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power
  2. which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, Ephesians 1:19-20
  1. Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Hebrews 13:20
  1. He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake.

  1. "I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death. Revelation 1:18
  1. "To the angel of the church in Smyrna write: These are the words of him who is the First and the Last, who died and came to life again. Revelation 2:8 NIV
  1. "Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again.
  2. "No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father." John 10:17-18
  1. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. Romans 8:11
  1. I urge you in the sight of God who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus who witnessed the good confession before Pontius Pilate,
  2. that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ's appearing,
  3. which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords,
  4. who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen. 1 Timothy 6:13-16

The Son of God Becomes highly exalted and is given a new name!

  1. has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;
  2. who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, Hebrews 1:2-3
  1. "This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses.
  2. "Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear.
  3. "For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he says himself: 'The LORD said to my Lord, "Sit at My right hand,
  4. Till I make Your enemies Your footstool."'
  5. "Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ." Acts 2:32-36.
  1. "And we declare to you glad tidings--that promise which was made to the fathers.
  2. "God has fulfilled this for us their children, in that He has raised up Jesus. As it is also written in the second Psalm: 'You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.'
  3. "And that He raised Him from the dead, no more to return to corruption, He has spoken thus: 'I will give you the sure mercies of David.'

  5. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
  6. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
  7. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:5-11
  1. But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says: "Let all the angels of God worship Him." Hebrews 1:6

The Son of God Takes His Kindom!

  1. God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets,
  2. has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; Hebrews 1:1-2.

God has appointed His Son as heir of all things and His Son, whom God made the worlds, has also spoken to the prophets in the past.

  1. Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing?
  2. The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the LORD and against His Anointed, saying,
  3. "Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us."
  4. He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The LORD shall hold them in derision.
  5. Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, And distress them in His deep displeasure:
  6. "Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion."
  7. "I will declare the decree: The LORD has said to Me, 'You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.
  8. Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession.
  9. You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them to pieces like a potterŐs vessel.'"
  10. Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth.
  11. Serve the LORD with fear, And rejoice with trembling.
  12. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him. Psalms 2:1-12.
  1. God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets,
  2. has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;
  3. who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
  4. having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
  5. For to which of the angels did He ever say: "You are My Son, Today I have begotten You"? And again: "I will be to Him a Father, And He shall be to Me a Son"?
  6. But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says: "Let all the angels of God worship Him."
  7. And of the angels He says: "Who makes His angels spirits And His ministers a flame of fire."
  8. But to the Son He says: "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your Kingdom.
  9. You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions."
  10. And: "You, LORD, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the work of Your hands.

  13. But to which of the angels has He ever said: "Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool"?
  14. Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation? Hebrews 1:1-14

  1. "To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. Revelation 3:21.
  1. And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him.
  2. They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. Revelation 22:3-4.
  1. Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His FatherŐs name written on their foreheads. Revelation 14:1.
